THE BEST WAY TO REPLACE A MISSING TOOTH

Do you have missing teeth and are uncomfortable being around anyone but your closest friends or family? Do you find yourself avoiding activities that may require you to be around strangers?

Dental implants last an extremely long time, which makes them a more permanent solution to replacing missing teeth than a dental bridge or partial dentures. They also offer more strength and stability than other solutions, which makes them highly recommended by Dr. Brantly.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF DENTAL IMPLANTS?

  • Dental implants are the best way to replace a missing tooth.
  • Dental implants can look extremely natural, mimicking the look of the surrounding, natural teeth in your mouth. We color-match them so they look completely natural in your smile.
  • Dental implants feel like natural teeth and can give your mouth that full, complete feeling.
  • Unlike a dental bridge, which reduces the enamel of the adjacent teeth and uses them to connect the three teeth together, an implant is a stand-alone tooth that is easier to clean, permanent, and preserves the bony ridge of a patient’s mouth.

Commitment to my Patients

“My patients place confidence in my ability to provide the best dental care available, and I take their confidence seriously. A deeply held sense of responsibility compels me to a strong commitment for continual professional development.”

THE BEST WAY TO REPLACE A MISSING TOOTH

Dental Implants are special posts which are surgically placed into the jawbone to replace missing teeth or to support a denture. The implant functions as the root of a tooth and, depending on the number of implants placed, it can be used to replace everything from a single tooth to a full completment of teeth. It takes an average of 3-6 months for the jawbone to integrate with the implant before it can be used to support a dental restoration.

Dr. Brantly will be the dentist that restores the implants by attaching a tooth or prosthesis to ensure it looks great and functions properly. Dr. Brantly works with local surgeons who specialize in the surgical placement of the implant(s) into your jawbone. Dr. Brantly and the surgeon will work together to ensure the implant is placed in an ideal position to support the final restoration he is planning in your case. This page is intended to explain some of the terms that may arise when you discuss the implant process with Dr. Brantly or the surgeon.
